Practical 10
Throughout my journey in EIR , I have learnt many things. I have learnt how to differentciate betweem different search engines, know how to evauluate a website and I have also learnt how keep a blog and twitter, which I thought was boring. I have also leant about WIKI which is a very useful website that allows me to share research infomation that i have with my fellow school mates. Through WIKI i have learnt many useful infomation from other students too. I enjoyed myself very much during every class of EIR and Miss Faridah. She is very friendly and approachble. She has taught us many things and I am happy to be under her teaching. My classmates were wonderful too. There were able to express themselves well and are able to present well. I have enjoyed myself throughout my stay in EIR.
Practical 8 & 9 - "My Dream Holiday"
My dream holiday is to be able to travel to Los Angeles.
Los Angeles is the largest city in the state of California and the second largest in the United States. Often known by its initials, L.A., and nicknamed The City of Angels.
Los Angeles is one of the world's centers of business, international trade, entertainment, culture, media, fashion, science, technology, and education. It is home to renowned institutions covering a broad range of professional and cultural fields, and is one of the most substantial economic engines within the United States. As the home base of Hollywood, it is known as the "Entertainment Capital of the World", leading the world in the creation of motion pictures, television production, interactive games, and recorded music. The importance of the entertainment business to the city has led many celebrities to call Los Angeles and its surrounding suburbs home.
The reason that i have chosen Los Angeles as my dream holiday is that i really like that place as that place is like at the world's top. With everything there. I would like to visit the different casinos there as I have heard that they are very beautiful and alsp Hollywood where i can see many of my favourite celebrities.

Pratical 7
I evaluated the website Stomp.com using criteria’s such as coverage, accuracy and overall quality The coverage lets me know what this is about and make sure that it contains all the necessary information which includes articles that are relevant to this information and be used as research information. Accuracy is another important point. For example, picture can be used as evidence to discuss and even have more topic to comment or talk about. I think that the quality of the website is very important as it needs to be well kept and organized.
I feel that sharing views on Wiki is very useful as information can be spread throughout the students in a easy and fast way. students just have to go to the website to look at other students research information. Students can easily learn from the website as there are all sorts of information in the website.

Blog Reflections
Briefly reflect on lessons learnt from this practical via your EIR blog (and twitter):
a. What benefits do you get when using different search facilities to search for resources related to your topic?
Different search facilities will come out with different results an with many different results, there will be many irrelevant results for the user to go through. Sometimes using many search facilities will results in information overflow. As some information might not be true.
b. How do you feel about using site feeds in your blog?
I don't think it is a good idea as site feeds related to my topic is not relevant and the results are few.
c. What do you like best about collaborating on Wiki with other students who share similar research topic as you?
Wiki is a good way to communicate and share information with students with the same similar research topic. It lets students post whatever they find on the web and it can edited easily. Students can also leave comments to tell the students about what they feel and everything.

Google is a very useful search engine and that i often use it to search for my information and do research. Google is a well known search engine. Even though Google gives a wide and mass results to the search, most of the information are not relevant and are not important. This wastes users time to search slowly one by one at the results to gather the information that they want.
Google Scholar was another search engine that I had found out, it allows the user to search across many disciplines and sources: peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations.
Participating in discussion forums is very useful to the research that we want to get ,as the results there are just comments from other people.
Citation and bibliography are used to credit our source(s), which is very important as we should always give credit to where the information comes from and from which author.
